Videojet Upgrades Fiber Laser Portfolio with New Videojet 7230 and 7330 Fiber Laser Marking Systems

The freedom to mark how you want with the new 7230 and 7330 Fiber Lasers

CHICAGO – April 10, 2019 — To meet manufacturers’ demands for a light, compact and adaptable fiber laser solution, Videojet Technologies, a global leader in coding, marking and printing solutions, has introduced the new Videojet® 7230 and 7330 models to upgrade its existing range of fiber laser marking systems. The powerful marking solutions are up to 44% lighter than similar fiber lasers from other providers and gives manufacturers the freedom to mark how they want.

Videojet understands the varying needs that manufacturers require for coding and marking parts, consumer packaged goods (CPG), and pharmaceutical products, and has specifically designed the new 7230 and 7330 Fiber Lasers to meet their unique coding requirements. These new fiber lasers are an ideal solution for demanding production schedules within these markets, as manufacturers need laser marking systems that can keep pace and provide a high-level of code contrast onto robust, high-density materials.

Available with 10 and 20 watts of output power respectively, the Videojet 7230 and 7330 Fiber Lasers provide increased productivity and total operational freedom through several enhanced features. For example, manufacturers can select either a 6 mm marking head for high-speed production, or a 10 mm marking head for parts-marking with fine detail, offering flexibility and complete application confidence for varying product shapes and sizes.

In addition, the 7230 and 7330 Fiber Lasers offer enhanced productivity benefits by allowing manufacturers to mark more products and codes, faster than previous Videojet lasers, due to a combination of improved data processing speeds and competitive marking speeds of up to 2,000 characters per second (speed based on 6 mm marking head and substrate dependent).

These new fiber lasers also provide seamless operation into the production line. Manufacturers can choose from a variety of user interfaces to control the Videojet 7230 and 7330 Fiber Lasers, including the Videojet Touch Control Software+ (TCS+) that is engineered specifically to help manufacturers control Videojet lasers remotely through either the TU430 10.1” color touchscreen laser controller, or from virtually any browser-based device, other than the Safari browser. Alternatively, the advanced Videojet laser controller with CLARiTY™ software features an intuitive touchscreen also used in other Videojet marking and coding solutions, which allows for simple operation and continuous improvement in uptime and productivity.

“Manufacturers can benefit from a light, compact and agile fiber laser solution, offering versatility in tight spaces,” said Sascha Ammesdoerfer, Laser Business Unit Manager at Videojet Technologies. “The option of a 0° or 90° degree marking head orientation provides flexibility on production lines with space limitations, and with the addition of the 6 mm marking head, also the smallest laser head dimensions in the industry.”

Additional advantages of these new fiber lasers that help to minimize downtime and increase productivity include an air-cooled laser source that virtually eliminates maintenance intervals; zero consumables such as inks, solvents or compressed air; and no wear parts to replace.

The launch of the Videojet 7230 and 7330 Fiber Laser marking systems enhance the Videojet Fiber Laser portfolio, offering manufacturers total operational freedom.
