Laser Time Clock Update

We recently provided notice that you may see an error message on certain Videojet laser products when the laser was shut down and restarted after January 31, 2012.  As we previously advised, if you encountered an error message, you should follow the instructions we provided.  We also advised that you should continue to check the date/time code on the laser upon future shut down and start up as part of any normal QC process.

Products that should be checked:

Update
In an effort to provide you with the most current information on this issue, we are providing this updated notice with additional instructions.

This important update is to notify you that, in certain circumstances, you may need to reset the date/time code on the laser one additional time.  Approximately one month after performing the original corrective procedures, if you shut down and restart the laser, the laser may restart with a date/time code that is off by approximately three days.

If you encounter this issue upon restart of the laser, the date/time clock should be reset to the current date.

We have updated the recommended instructions in the event you encounter this issue.  You can access these instructions here: Power Cycle Procedure and Date/Time adjustment on Videojet Lasers or by calling us at 800-843-3610.

Again, we apologize for any disruption this may cause.  Our number one priority is making sure we provide the most up to date information to ensure that you do not experience any date/time code issues.
